To be loved by.
It Is a project I'm working on at the moment making creatures /sock babies/ from peoples old socks. In the end I want a whole closet full of them this closet is also made of old second hand wood. I want to make it inviting for people to come and interact with the art work and cuddle with the handmade sock babies.

do's a object love you back?

Can you really say something loves you if it doesn't have the understanding of human love? Can you then say a dog can't love you in a human way? Can objects love in an object way?

you can always play with the idea of things loving you in there own way, playing with your surroundings back in side yourself which then again connects you to others.

Lifespans of objects are interesting they don't work the same way as a lot of other things.

lifespan of objects:

lifespam #1
the thing the object was made for.

lifespam #2
the material, how long dose it last
before it is all gone.

lifespam #3
a transformative acts to re-use the
material that is still left to keep loving the object in a new our old form. will contineu untill material is all gone.
Ro Smit explores queerness, forms of care, and the conections between human and objects and objects and each other through a mix of found and made materials.
It's very important for them to create work through materially transformative acts that they connect with their queer identity. They step out of the straight line of human and object lifespans, taking on a different lifespan for material. In these works they explore motions of destructive care: A form of care that harms but is better than the alternative.

what is a monster (to me)
